Drawing and painting have been my passion as long as I can remember, in fact I started so young that I cannot remember a time when I was not drawing.
In my art work there is a bit of my soul, however, sometimes they have a soul of their own too.
I breath them into life with any stroke of my pencil, or marker, or brush...
In my art work there are my fantasies, my moods, the things I love, the things that inspire me and sometimes my fears.
I like to mix techniques and occasionally I give in to the call of digital, so any mean is game for me to create, but I have to admit that I prefer the old classics more than the modern ones.
The feel of the pencil, the paper, the paint... even the smell of it, everything together, mixed with the work of my Muse, makes my Art what it is: My first true love.
Artists often describe their work as their babies, but for me it has always been more close to a love affair; because starting from the moment when I dream about it, till the approaching to it and the search for that sparkles that inspires it, till the ultimate creation, when I finally do fall in love or... I do not.
Sometimes I do love them from start to finish, sometimes even beyond their completion.
Art works that I have made to be loved forever, but just as well, some of them don't turn out to be such a dreamy love affair after all, and they get, well, dumped.
A mother loves all their children, an artist however doesn't love all their creations; therefore the comparison with a love affair for me, is more apt.
For those pieces who hold my heart for ever I have no jealousy.
They are free to be admired and even possessed by as many lovers they choose.
I am an open minded lover to them, eager even, for them to be shared and be loved by many.
So please, feel free to ask about them, ask about their story and their price, if you wish to possess them, because nothing makes me more happy than being joined in adoration for my creations!
And after all, no matter where they go, they will always have a part of me in them, who will make them eternally mine in spirit.
